My name is Andrew, and I make every memorial keepsake myself, one at a time, from my studio in Edmonton, Alberta.Each piece starts with your photo. I manually prepare every image, adjust contrast, calibrate the laser, and inspect the finished engraving before it ships. There's no batch processing, no automation, and no one else handling your photo.I started Hearthmark Memorials because I believe small, tangible reminders matter, especially in the days and weeks after a loss, when a phone screen feels insufficient. Your Photos and Stories
What I collect. The photo you upload, any engraving text, an optional story about your photo, and your name, email, phone number and mailing address. Payments are handled by Stripe. I never see or store your card number.How I use it. Only to make and ship your keepsake and to contact you about your order. I prepare and engrave every photo myself. Your photos and stories are never sold, shared, or displayed publicly (including on this site or social media) without your explicit written permission.Where it's stored. The order form is provided by Tally, payments by Stripe, and this website by Carrd. These services process your information on my behalf and may store it on servers outside Canada.How long I keep it. I keep your photo and order details for 12 months so I can make a duplicate or a remake if you need one, then delete them. You can ask me to delete them sooner at any time.Photo ownership. By submitting a photo, you confirm that it is yours or that you have permission to use it.Website analytics. This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are viewed. It does not tell me who you are.Your choices. You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you by emailing me at [email protected].
Shipping
Production time. Most orders ship within 4-5 business days of receiving your photo and payment. If I'm running behind, I'll tell you rather than leave you wondering.Canadian orders. Shipping within Canada is free by tracked Canada Post delivery. If your keepsake hasn't arrived within 3 business days of of the estimated delivery date, email me and I'll remake and resend it at no cost.Edmonton pickup. Available by arrangement.Outside Canada. Contact me first.Addresses. Please double-check your mailing address when you order. I can't be responsible for orders sent to an address entered incorrectly.
Clarity and legibility guarantee
Every engraving is inspected for clarity, tonal depth and legibility before it ships. If your piece arrives unclear, damaged, or with an error on my part, I will remake it at no cost. Please email me within 30 days with a photo of the piece.Photo quality. Results depend on your photo. If I think your photo won't engrave well (for example, it's very small, dark or blurry), I'll contact you before I start and suggest options.What isn't covered. Pieces are made to hold up to daily carry, but deliberate damage or extreme conditions aren't covered.
Returns, Changes, and Cancellations
Because every piece is made from your own photo, I can't accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If anything is wrong with your order, contact me and I'll make it right.You can change or cancel your order any time before I begin engraving. Please email me as soon as you can, because once engraving starts I can't undo it.

Prices are in Canadian dollars. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices include applicable taxes.
